Overview
Explore Ethiopian culture through local cuisine and enjoy some of the best food you can find in Addis. You’ll explore a rapidly developing neighborhood in the heart of the city and visit three restaurants, each serving a wide variety of traditional and modern dishes to tuck in to.
During the tour we will also stop at a small shop for a contemporary coffee ceremony – a practice fundamental to the fabric of Ethiopian society. The beans are roasted, ground by hand using mortar and pestle, then brewed over the coals in a clay pot known as a jebena. Three cups of coffee are poured out, each with Biblical names, finishing with ‘the blessing’.
