Day Trip to Suba National Forest

pon your arrival, our staff will meet you at your hotel or at the airport for a warm greeting and a brief introduction to the day’s experience. From there, you will be driven to Menagesha Suba Forest, one of Ethiopia’s oldest protected natural areas, originally placed under protection by Emperor Zera Yacob. Covering approximately 2,500 hectares, this ancient forest is known for its impressive natural scenery and rich biodiversity.

As you explore the forest, you will encounter towering indigenous tree species such as Juniperus and Erica arborea, which create a serene and refreshing environment ideal for nature walks. Menagesha Suba is also an excellent destination for wildlife enthusiasts, offering sightings of endemic bird species as well as mammals including the endemic Menelik’s Bushbuck, a unique antelope found only in Ethiopia.

After your guided nature walk and exploration, you will enjoy a relaxing lunch in the area. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Addis Ababa, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location.
